"Life is too short to drink bad wine" - Anonymous

Welcome to Maestrazgo Wine Club, a bi-monthly wine tasting group for people living in Barcelona. For the last 2 years I have been organising semi-regular wine tastings in Barcelona, aimed at those who live here and want to learn more about the wonderful world of wine we inhabit. These are subsidised tastings and exist so that we can explore some of the worlds greatest wines as a group, with a different topic every time. Due to the nature of these tastings, not only are spaces very limited but I can only organise them once or twice a month, so be sure to keep your eyes peeled for spots as they disappear quickly!

Wine tasting in Barcelona is largely focused around Spanish wine, so at Maestrazgo Wine Club we focus heavily on tasting wines from other countries around the world, with an emphasis on high quality, interesting wines that speak of a place and a style. Whether we're tasting wines from Australia, South Africa, France, Italy or anywhere else in the world, you can be sure that the wines were carefully sourced to showcase exactly what that country, region or producer has to offer.

Tastings will run twice a month from September through to May, with a 3 month break for summer during the warmer months of June, July and August. For information on the tastings as they become available, look out for our Newsletter published on the website on the 1st of every month!

September Tastings

This month, the tastings will be focused around some of the new discoveries I've been fortunate enough to make over the summer period. I've tasted somewhere in the region of 150 wines and I'm very much looking forward to presenting those that have really stood out, with quite a mixture of regions, grapes, styles and price points. To keep it stylistically different, we're going to separate the New World and the Old World into different tastings, starting with the Old World on the 14th and finishing with the New World on the 28th. I hope to see you there!
